He apparently died before 1880 because his wife and son George, age 6 and daughter Electra, age 14, moved in with his son David and Martha, at lest during the 1880 census taking time. Also living with David and Martha were David's brother Frank, age 28, sister Sarah C, age 26, and a niece, Mabel, 1 year old.
