Event: Immigrated BEF. MAY 1670 moved from Rappahannock Co, VA to SMC, MD
According to the Combs family research this "Abrahm Combs is first found in the records of Old Rappahannock Co, VA during the 1660's, but his place of residence is unknown....he may be presumed to have a family relationship with Archdale Combs of this same county, but the exact nature is unknown. He is also somehow related to John Meador of the same county, referring him to as a "brother-in-law" but exactly how is unknown. He was first noted in St. Mary's Co, MD colony in 1679 and died in SMC, although it appears he also owned property in Charles Co, MD. If he is related to Archdale Combs, this line has been traced back to Knotting Parish, Bedfordshire, EN. The wife who is the mother of Sarah, his only known child, is still unknown. He married again.
Abraham Combs assigns to Clement Hill, gent the right of 100 acres due him for transportim himself and his daughter Sarah, Sept. 1, 1679, witnessed by Richard Gardiner and Luke Gardiner. Clement Hill and the Gardiners are also of record in in Old Rappahannock Co according to the researchrs of Combs.
