John Warren, only son of John and Jane his wife, was born October 21. 1759 at "Frailty" on the Wicomico. On June 17, 1778, at the age of 18 years, he made choice of his brother-in-law Burford Cotterel as guardian.' In March 1778, he subscribed to the patriot's oath in Charles County before Magistrate George Dent' On January 17, 1786, he conveyed to Burford Cotter]] for £800 "Frailty" which had been "originally granted unto a certain Barton Warren grandfather of the said John Warren for 496 acres". No wife waived dower, while the witnesses were Walter Winter and B. Fendall.' On September 20, 1786, he was married by the rector of William and Mary Parish to Elizabeth Shaw.

John Warren, an orphan, an orphan, 18 years old last Oct 21, came into court and made choice of Burford Cottrel as his guardian, who accepts. Sd orphan's estate is ordered to be delivered to sd guardian, upon his giving bond and security for sd estate, Bond taken Jun 17, 1778, Thos Hopewell and William Cox, securities.
