- first wife died married to Fred in 1918. 1920 census shows wife as Gay Kline and four children all born before 1918. The children, therefore were step children to Gay.
Gay then died in 1931. When Fred died in 1943, he was married, and his wife, (no first name given) was the informant on his d.c. She would have to have been his third wife.
