Thanks for your reply. Since I posted my original note, I've gotten more information on these families. Here is a quick summary of what I have. Maybe you can compare with your data and see if we can help each other.
Benjamin and Rebecca were second cousins, both descended from Thomas Janney and Margery Heath.
Thomas Janney > Joseph Janney + Rebecca Biles > Martha Janney + Nicholas Parker > Rebecca Parker
Thomas Janney > Abel Janney + Elizabeth Stacy > Rebecca Janney + Joseph Pool > Benjamin Pool
I have lots of information on Thomas Janney and William Biles, and very little, aside from the bare vital statistics, on the others mentioned. I do know that Elizabeth Stacy was the daughter of Mahlon Stacy and Rebecca Ely. I have a little information on Mahlon, including the fact that he was the founder of Trenton, NJ.
One ambiguous area is the parentage of Joseph Pool. There is a history of Bucks Co., PA, that says that he was born in Cumberland, England, in 1704, to Nathanial and Elizabeth (Lucas) Pool. The problem with this is that Nathaniel was living in Bucks County by 1692. Another history shows that Joseph was the son of William and Jeanette (Twentyman) Poole, also of Cumberland, and emigrated to Pennsylvania as a youth. I think it's possible (just speculating) that Nathaniel and William were brothers, and that Joseph, son of William, came to America to live with his uncle Nathaniel, perhaps after his father died. Do you have in information on this?
