He first married Ann Gibb in 1585 in Thornbury. It has not been confirmed but is believed that these children were by Ann rather than his second wife, Margery. Ann died on April 10, 1590, assuming possibly at childbirth. These children were: 1. Ann Thayer, who died November 19, 1590 (7 mos after Ann's death) 2. Margaret Thayer 3. Judith Thayer 4. Sicely Thayer His date of death is given as November 10, 1590; however, all the children by Margery were after that date.
