- Probably the John Briscoe who probated the will of Capt Matthew Howard, son of John Howard (Mathew, Jr & Sarah Dorsey) and Susannah Rockhould. Capt Matthew was married to Elizabeth Corse whose sister Hannah Corse was married to a Briscoe. Thill was probated on Nov 19, 1750 in Kent Co.
Had a son John, Jr., probable John who witnessed the deed of John Howard to daughter Anne of negro Basill on 15 Jan 1728.
