Notes |
- legend has it that Bertha Hudgens died of yellow fever while attending to a yellow fever burial? leaving the three children to be raised by their dad William Charley ?Will? Devlin,, well not long after his wife?s death, he hung himself in the barn, which still stool until the 1960?s. So now Frances, Walter and Calvin were orphans until aunt Jo and aunt Sallie, I guess they were their aunts raised the three, and none of these folks ever married, ran a dairy farm over on Wilson Road close to Hudgens.
