Shelby James Wooten 69 of 225 First St Port Neches
died at 5.30 Thursday in his residence following a long illness A native of Carthage Miss he had lived in Port Neches for He was a member of the First United Methodist
Church in Port Neches He was a retired supervisor for Texaco Inc in Port Neches and was a member of Port Neches Masonic Lodge No 1163. Funeral services are set for 3 p.m Friday in the First United Methodist Church. The Rev Earl S Yokley pastor will officiate. Masonic graveside rites will be conducted by Masonic Lodge No 1163 at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. Mr Wooten is survived by his wife Mrs Eva Wooten of Port Neches, one son James E Wooten of Port Neches, three grandchildren James E Wooten Jr, Gill Wooten, both of Port Neches, and Derryl Collins of Corpus Christi;
two grandchildren one sister, Mrs Percy Waggnor of
Carthage, one brother E L Wooten of Laurel Miss.
Masons will serve as pallbearers
