She stated, "This cemetery is on TR 85 on the border of Holmes and Coshocton Counties. It is about 2 miles from my home, so I knew the area; however, it was a little difficult to find. You take RT 82 off of SR 60. There is a sign there for Overman's Natural Foods. Stay on that road (it veers off to the right.) When you come to a T (RT 85) turn right. Enumerted July 13 , 1870 1880 Ohio Fed. Census, Coshocton Co. Clark Twp. Enumerated June 15 , 1880 (from Richard Skinner) He was described as a soft spoken, religious man. A good father and easy on his children. He was a farmer all of his life. They lived in Killbuck, Ohio and moved to Unionville , Lake County, Ohio in 1889. Marion had a malarial fever and was advised to move near Lake Erie for his health.They moved to Chesterland, Geauga County, Ohio in 1893. (Route 306 approximately 3 miles north of Route 87, across from West Geauga high school) They moved to Montville, Ohio in 1900 . (On Route 86, 1/2 mile North of Route 6) Martha was ill and knew she did not have long to live. She wished to move back to Killbuck for the remainder of her life. They moved to Killbuck in the fall of 1903. She died there in 1904. At the time, there were four children under the age of 16. In the fall of 1904, the family moved back to Chesterland to the farm they had lived on previously. The oldest son, Burley, stayed in Killbuck and lived in that area the remainder of his life. Mina, Myrtle, Sherman, Emma, Irvin and Blanche rrned by train. Marion, Joe and Mark returned by horse and wagon containing the household goods. In 1906 they moved to Montville, the first house on the Wes t side of old plank road from route 6. He moved in 1913 to his last residence at 7 Battles Court , Chardon, Ohio where he raised chickens. He died in the home of Emma Dempsey in Chardon, Ohio. _____________ Birth: Jan. 10, 1854 Killbuck Holmes County Ohio, USA Death: Nov. 16, 1931 Chardon Geauga County Ohio, USA Francis Marion Randles was married to Martha Ellen Conkle on Sept.21, 1876. He was the son of NOAH "Ava" & Mary Randles. Marion is listed as a SON under Noah "Reynolds" in the 1860 Census. Marion was born and raised in Killbuck, Ohio and spent his later years in Chardon, Ohio where he died. His obituary found in Holmes Co. Farmer Hub on November 25, 1931, lists his parents, Ava & Mary Randles & 11 of Marion & Martha's children: Edgar b. abt 1877, Burley b. March 1879 (he returned later in life to Killbuck Twp. in Holmes Co)., Joseph b. Sept 1882, Marcus W. b. July 1884, Mina J. b. May 1886, Nancy b. May 1888, William S. b. March 1891, Emmalene b. July 1843, Ervin C. b. Sept 1895 and Irene b. Oct. 1897. Source used for children's dates was Federal Census 1900 for Geauga County, Chester Twp. Ohio under Marion Randles. Death Certificate: Randoles, Marion - Death date 11/16/1931, Geauga County, VOLUME #6766, CERTIFICATE# 15. The Salem cemetery is on what was once the property of Noah "Ava",(the son of Abraham & Elizabeth Chaney Randles).
