In the Sharpe and Preble Co. History, 1881, they give Rebecca and Henry Sharp as brother and sister. She was taken prisoner by wandering Indians to Darke Co., later brought back to Swamp Creek, Harrison Twp. by her captors, at a place on the creek, where they refined salt. They had a salt pit, which was jealously guarded from the white settlers, however she gave the information after her release. She died 10 miles south of Cincinnati on a return trip to Ohio from Tennessee.
