- Juanita Faye Oglesby Collins Soape, 84, of Carthage, passed away on Tuesday night, Feb. 2, 2016, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Nov. 2, 1931, in Arkinda, Ark. to the late Herman Leton and Lola Margaret Waller Oglesby. Quick to smile and always providing loving service to her friends and neighbors, Juanita worked as a waitress for over 28 years in the community, beginning at the Carthage Coffee Shop and later at Joe?s Café. She will be remembered by her customers as a very gracious and loving host. She married W.D. ?Cotton? Soape on May 30, 1973, in Carthage. Mrs. Soape moved to Carthage in 1962, from Athens and was a member of the Carthage Church of Christ. She was also preceded in death by daughters, Jeanette ?Cody? Collins Siler and Vicki Lynn Collins, 4 sisters, and 5 brothers.
Mrs. Soape is survived by her husband, W.D. ?Cotton? Soape of Carthage; daughters, Margaret Ruso of Deadwood, Myrita Kruebbe and husband Jimmy of Antioch, and Kim Davis and husband Daniel of Antioch; brother, Thomas Nolan Oglesby of Redding, CA; grandchildren, Chelsey Lawhorn and husband Clint, Anissa Pride and husband Bryan, Dustin Ruso and wife Gena, Heather Kruebbe, Ryan Kruebbe and wife Nena, and Kaylee and Kellan Davis; great-grandchildren, Rodie and Colt Lawhorn, Savannah, Rope, and Rider Pride, Jaxson, Aly, and Haileigh Ruso, Parris Kruebbe, and Shelby, Cassidy, and Blake Soape; step-son, Steve Soape of Carthage; and step-granddaughters, Rachel Jones and husband John and Rebekah and Sarah Soape. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends also survive Mrs. Soape.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Restland Memorial Park near Carthage
