L. G. Frady, age 79, resident of Benton, died Saturday, June 23, 2001. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 26 in Roller-Ballard Funeral Home Chapel in Benton with Rev. Chuck Norwood officiating. Burial followed in Pinecrest (sic) Memorial Park.
He was born Dec. 17, 1921 in Winthrop to the late John and Ester McCormick Frady; as a young man he enlisted in the C.C.A. (Civil Service) and later worked in maintenance for Stone Container until retirement; and was a Baptist. He was predeceased by his parents; a son, Mike Frady; a daughter, Eva Frady; two brothers, Truman Frady and Alfus Frady; and two sisters, Irene McGough and Della Frady.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Frady of Benton; two sons, Wayne Gatlin of Bryant and Darrell Gatlin of Traskwood; three daughters, Patsy Holt of Little Rock, Melba VanZandt of Bryant, and Kay Bailey of Benton; three brothers, Mack Frady of Horatio, Johnny Frady of Winthrop, and Bill Frady of Idabel, Okla.; two sisters, Mae Brown of Houston, Tex., and Marge McGough of Winthrop; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 25 at the funeral home.
