- Cleo states in 1900 census that she had borne two children, had zero children living. In 1910 she says three births, zero living. Their nephew McClenny Armstrong, who they adopted, was living with them and using the Jones name. He was Cleo's sister's child, and she had died in childbirth. By the 1920 census he was then 16 years old identified as "son."
1919 Waco reunion, James B. was of Valley Mills, and attended with his wife.
Cleo's father is shown living with them in the 1910 and 1920 census records.
By 1930, they had moved to New Mexico, both working as schoolteachers.
Their death records have not yet been found.
