- "The Sheltons first settled in San Augustine lived there about 3 years moved to Nacogdoches. Was there at the time of the Battle of San Jacinto, remained there 3 or 4 years and moved to Chambers Co. All but my Grandmother first married a a Kirk. He was killed at the Battle of San Jacinto. She was left with 2 babies one just an infant, died at 2 or 3 months of age. Kirk was Aunt Mary Sherman's father."

Sherry, I sent some things to your personal e-mail. I did not know Susanna had a child with William Kirk, so I would love to have the descendants of this marriage. I do not know who the Sherman family is. Can you explain their connection? There may be children in the second marriage of Susanna and John James Farrir, but I do not have that either. I have mostly concentrated on Martha Wilson Shelton, my direct ancestor, but I am interested in anything I can get on her siblings also.
