    I have been doing some research since December with the census on my maternal gggrandmother Alice Lovelady. She married William C. Cornett abt. 1888. Since then I have discovered that her middle or first name was Malinda, and her father was William Benton.

    Looking at the 1900 census, I was aware of other siblings, but did not know of the names, Elizabeth, Nancy and Sarah Evalyne, so this was very helpful.

    Also have been trying to piece together all of Moses Jones children, with his two wives. Looks like several sets of twins run in this family. My mother is a twin.

    Was pleased to see your posting. It looks to me that we have a connection.

    Hello Karen Te Ronde,

    I was just on the Genealogy.com website, and I noticed your name under the Lovelady Family Genealogy Forum page.

    I thought I would drop you a note and tell you a little bit about who I've been trying to find in the Lovelady family.

    I've been trying to find out if anybody has any relations to Joel Lovelady and George Hiram Lovelady. Joel Lovelady is my great grandfather and George Hiram Lovelady is my grandfather.

    George Hiram Lovelady married Willie Mae Matthews, and George was born in Mound City MO. Most of the Matthews family lived in this same area of the country, too.

    My dad's name is Clarence David Lovelady.

    Loren was born June 30, 1947, at Highland. Loren grew up at Highland where he attended schools, graduating high school with the class of 1965. He farmed in the Highland area many years with his dad before later farming with Jerry Blevins. He later worked for Valley Grain and Emmett Cole till about a year ago when he was diagnosed with a brain tumor.

    Survivors include his many relatives and friends in the Highland area.

    He was preceded in death by his parents Jr. and Dot Lovelady Ptomey, and a cousin Gary Weis.

    Graveside memorial services are planned for 4 p.m. Friday, March 8, at the Highland Cemetery. Pastor Jerry Petering and Sam Blythe will officiate. Following the graveside service, friends are invited to Ernie's downtown Highland for a time of fellowship and sharing stories, in memory of Loren
