***UPDATE 5/14/2010***
Looking for the 1860 and 1870
Census records for William and Susan,
I found "Frank & Susan Corder" in Missouri
in 1860. When I looked at the actual
record I noticed above the
Corders: Benj Herington. The
Herington family is divided on 2 pages.
Moses & Barabara (parents) are listed
on the privious page. Benj and his
siblings are listed on the next page
before the Corders. I then went back
to the 1850 Virginia census and
found Moses, "Barbary", SUSAN E, and
Benjamin (etal).

My husband is a great-grandson of Wm. Franklin Corder of Fauquier/Rappahannock, Virginia. If this is the same William Franklin Corder, I have the following information which was compiled from a variety of sources. You would need to verify the data, but at least it will give you something to work from.
William Franklin Corder was born in 1822 in Virginia and died in 1906 in Hoxie, Kansas. He was a son of Elisha Corder and Tacey Cowgill. The 1850 US Census of Rappahannock County, Virginia lists him as a carpenter, age 28, in the household of Tacey Corder. William Franklin was married first to Ceattie Cowgill and second to Susan E. Harrington.
Wm. Franklin's father, Elisha Corder, was a son of John Corder (1761-1849) and was born sometime between 1786-1788 in Fauquier Co., Virginia. He was married on Christmas Day in 1809 to Tacey Cowgill. He died as the result of a broken neck (thrown from a horse) sometime prior to 1830 (believed to be 1828). His wife was listed as being "head of household" in the 1830 census of Rappahannock Co., VA. Elisha and Tacey Corder had eleven children. They resided near Flint Hill Virginia in Rappahannock County.
Elisha's wife (Tacey Cowgill) was the daughter of Josiah Cowgill of Fauquier County, Virginia. She died in 1857. A record of the sale of her personal property is recorded in Will Book D, 1855-1886 in Rappahannock Co., VA.
The children of this couple (brothers and sisters of William Franklin) are: Mary Ann Corder 1812-1845; Hannah Corder b. 1814; John T. Corder 1816-1890; Elias Corder 1817-1882; Nathan Corder 1819-1892; Butler Corder 1820-1899;William Franklin Corder 1822-1906; James Bushrod Corder 1823-abt 1877; Eleven Corder abt 1824-1913; Absolem Broadeus Corder abt 1829- ?.
John Corder served in the Revolutionary War: 2 yrs as a private in Captain William Field's Co., Col. Geo. Givson's Reg. Then he served 3 mos in Capt. John T. Chunn's Co., Col. Armistead Churchill's Va Reg. Discharged in June 1781.
Four of the sons of John Corder migrated to Missouri around 1839. The sons were Martin, Vincent, Nathan, and John Jr. The settled in Marion and Lafayette Counties in MO.
I met some of the Corders from Olathe, KS at a Corder Runion held in Amissville, VA. I believe they are of this same Corder line.
