Funny--I've been following several GenForum pages for a couple of months now, and just this evening looked for the first time at the Poole page. I was hoping to find something about Benjamin Pool! Here's what I have:
Benjamin was born about 1730, exact date and place unknown. He married Rebecca (Becca) Parker in 1763 in Loudon County, VA. Died 7/31/1773 in Loudon County VA. I have nothing on his ancestors; that's what I was hoping to get here.
Rebecca was born about 1734 in Loudon County and died there 9/12/1791. Her father was Nicholas Parker b. 1700 in Makefield, Bucks Co., PA; d. 1755 in Fairfax Co. VA. Nothing further on his ancestry. Rebecca's mother was Martha Janney, b. 1703-1704 in Makefield, d. in Loudon Co., year unknown. I have a great deal more on her ancestry, going back to about 1500 in England. I'll e-mail you some more details.
Benjamin and Rebecca had nine children. Their daughter Ann (1761-1836) and her husband Thomas Rich were my ancestors. I have the line from them down to myself, with some side branches.
And if anyone out there knows anything about Benjamin Pool, Paul and I would both love to have it!
