Died:
Millard Roy Vieno died peacefully on November 23, 2011 in Houston, Texas after spending nearly a week surrounded by his friends and family. Millard, known as Mil or Roy, was born in Beaumont, Texas on June 13, 1933 to Robert Roy Vieno and Lillian Cook Vieno. Roy was a proud member of the United States Air Force, from which he retired after 21 years in service. Roy is survived by his sister Judy Vieno, daughter Valerie Vieno, sons Simmons Norwood, Dub Norwood, and Jason Snell, daughter Tammy Waugh, and grandson Jackson Norwood. Roy was preceded in death by his brother Bruce Vieno and sister Janice Allen. Roy was a character and Vieno stories will circulate forever. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, grandfather, friend, golfer, drinker, and raconteur. Roy's final words were: I love all of you. Roy wanted his ashes spread in the ocean. In memoriam, please make a donation to the charity of your choice , or you can simply belly-up to the bar, order a stiff drink, and tell a good Vieno story. God bless and take care.
