    October 5, 1895 Post Special; Eagle Lake, Texas September 28, 1895 -- In a difficulty here tonight, Frank Sparks was seriously if not fatally wounded, and Hope Adams (bro-in-law) was shot in the arm. Sparks is a brother of Milton Sparks who was killed in Houston at the time, Constable Sutton was killed and the difficulty arose about that killing. The shooting occurred at Haynes's Saloon and about ten shots were fired. Frank died October 1, 1895 from the shot he received during the gunfight with Hope Adams. October 1, 1895 in Eagle Lake, Texas. Masonic Cemetery, Eagle Lake, Colorado County, Tex.
