Elsie Blume, 78, of Winnie, Texas, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2011, at The Arboretum of Winnie.
She was born February 24, 1933, in Galveston, Texas to Raymond Clarence Bouse Jr. and Oca Shaw Bouse. Elsie had been a longtime resident of Bolivar and had lived in Winnie for several years. She enjoyed baking, spending time with family, and gardening.
Mrs. Blume is survived by her daughter, Roxanne Smith and her husband, Morgan "Mugs" of Winnie; son, Raymond Blume, of Crystal Beach; grandchildren, Carlan Smith, and Coleen Jennings and her husband Steve Gracia, all of Winnie; and great grandchildren, Dylan, Zoe, Zack, and Peyton; brothers, Robert Bouse and his wife, Jerri, and Leonard Bouse and his companion Billie, all of Bolivar; and a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton Blume.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at First Baptist Church, in Stowell, under the direction of Broussard's, 134 W,. Buccaneer drive, in Winnie with burial in Port Bolivar Cemetery. A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Broussard's.
