  1. 1.  Neva Young was born on 20 Jul 1862 in Nashville, Davidson Co, Tennessee; died on 8 Jan 1937 in Santa Rosa, Sonoma Co, California.

    Notes:

    Neva Young came to California with her parents in 1864. After a few years in Fresno, she settled in Santa Rosa, Sonoma Co., CA where she taught in the public schools.

    She was an artist. She was a pupil of Lorenzo P. Latimer whose influence is seen in her watercolors.

    Neva exhibited her art at the Calif. State Fair, 1889-90.
