  1. 1.  Benjamin Johnson was born about 1846 in Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana; died after 1910.

    Notes:

    from Carole: He apparently had five households complete with wives and families although documentation is difficult to come by. What is known is that he had children acknowledged by him by five women.
    His grandson, my grandfather, reports that when he would have a butchering, the cart would stop at each separate household and each would get their portion, according to the number of children and their ages.

    Benjamin married Marianne Philomenne Lavergne about 1866. Marianne was born on 03 Jul 1846 in Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana; died after 1880. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
