    The Morgan family emigrated to the Spanish territory of Louisiana in 1800. The Morgans moved from Virginia to the territory of Kentucky among the first white settlers of that territory, then moved to the Spanish territory known as Louisiana and settled on Bluff Creek now in the Parish of East Feliciana.
