Feb 20, 1788 from John Briscoe of Pittsylvania County, Virginia, and Charity, his wife (one of the co-heirs of Notley Warren, late of CC, decd), to Thomas Hungerford of CC, Whereas the sd John Briscoe and Charity, his wife, by their CC deed dated Sep 27, 1785, sold to sd Thomas Hungerford, the part of a tract of land herein after mentioned, but as some doubts have arisen between the parties, whether the sd Charity was of lawful age at the time of passing the sd deed, they, the sd John Briscoe and Charity, his wife, to prevent all disputes and controversies respecting the land herein after mentioned, have agreed to pass another deed to the sd Hungerford for the better confirming the same land.
