    Nancy Frances Parker, 106, of Georgetown, Texas, went to be with the Lord on October 9, 2004.

    Former resident of Beaumont, Baytown, and Port Bolivar, Texas. Born Nancy Burrell in Fannett, Texas on October 1, 1898, to Robert and Martha Burrell, she was the eleventh of twelve children. Nancy began her education at the Burrell School in Fannett and later attended a boarding school in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Her great-grandfather, John Jay French, was one of Beaumont's early settlers during the first half of the 19th century. He established the first school and church in Beaumont and in 1845, he built one of the area's first two-story homes made of lumber, now the John Jay French Historic House, a museum open to the public.

    She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Lee Parker, a daughter, Geraldine Brown, sons-in-law, Ivan R. Arnett and W. W. Brown, one granddaughter, Charlotte Johnson, 3 great-grandsons, Ned Luecke, Jr., Russell Luecke and Blake Johnson.
    She is survived by her children, Martha Ann Arnett, Robert Parker and his wife Faustine, Mary Sue Johnson and her husband Gayle; Grand-children, Wanda Luecke, Bettie and Don Taylor, Ruth McBrayer, Nancy McNabb, Robyne and Tim Carroll, Pam Parker, Scott and Diane Parker, Penny and Kevin Crane, Mark and Amanda Johnson, Greg and Amy Johnson, Debbie Pittman; great-grandchildren, Mark Luecke, Chad Taylor, Christi and Scott Gentile, Cassandra McBrayer, Cher McBrayer, Mandi McBrayer, Tamara McNabb, Tom and Candice McNabb, Tim McNabb, Tanya and Eric Keuhling; Lauryn Carroll, Joseph Carroll, Jessica Johnson, Megan Johnson, Alli Johnson, Jack Johnson, Haley Parker, Colin Parker, Dylan Parker, Kelly Pittman, Lindsey Pittman, Michael Cardone; great-great-grandchildren, Hannah Gentile, Allison Ulrich, Reid Ulrich, Cameron Hightower, Alexandria McNabb, Tori McNabb, Jace McNabb,Dustin Kuehling; her faithful extended family, Steve Lynck and wife Julie and their children, Ava, Emily, Ryan and Gracie Lynck, and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

    Her greatest joy was church, family and spending time together laughing and building memories to last a lifetime. Her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren filled her life with joy and laughter. She enjoyed cooking for her family, reading, crocheting, and quilting. She was a generous and beautiful person who embraced life to the fullest and will be greatly missed. Many beautiful memories of her life will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. We are blessed with her everlasting love, powerful touch, and concern for others.

    The family will receive visitors on Monday, October 11,2004 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. and funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday, October 12, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. at Earthman Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Road in Baytown, Texas. Internment will be at the LaBelle Cemetery in Fannett, Tx.

Walter (son of Sam Parker and Lucy Turner) was born on 15 May 1892 in Ashdown, Arkansas; died on 09 Jul 1948 in Baytown, Harris Co, Texas; was buried on 11 Jul 1948 in Burrell Cem, Taylor Bayou, Labelle/Fannett, Jefferson Co, Texas.
