Loraine LeDoux, age 75, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2009, at a local hospital. She was a very loving and giving person. Born October 10, 1934, she was a homemaker and an active member of Victory Baptist Church and Silver Saints Senior Group. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton LeDoux, two sisters, Barbara Tringali and Betty Pugh, and two great-granddaughters, Faith and Keirsten Lawson. Survivors include her sons, Roger LeDoux and wife, Cindy of Lake Charles and Jeffery LeDoux and wife, Teresa of Lufkin, TX; a daughter, Jackie Love and husband, John of Mansfield, TX; two brothers, Gerald and John A. Foreman both of Lake Charles; three sisters, Shelby Benoit, Judy Detwiler, and Billie Fults all of Lake Charles; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 27, 2009, at Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. Wayne Dartez will officiate. Burial will follow in Prien Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Sunday, from 12 noon until time of service.

Gerald Foreman, 77, of Lake Charles, LA died at 1:56 AM on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 in a local hospital.

Mr. Foreman was born November 11, 1935 in Indian Bayou, LA and was a 1956 graduate of LaGrange High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army for six years. He lived in California for seven years before returning to Lake Charles in 1976. Mr. Foreman worked as the store manager of White's Home and Auto and also worked at Brame's Hardware and Sears. He enjoyed watching football and was an avid Saints fan and will always be remembered as a hard worker. He was also a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather.

Mr. Foreman is survived by his daughters, Melissa and April; brother, John ; sisters, Judy and Billie; grandchildren; great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of forty-four years, Saya Haru Foreman; son, James Foreman; parents, John and Doveda Foreman; and siblings, Loraine LeDoux, Barbara Tringali, Shelby Benoit, and Betty Pugh.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21, in University United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Prien Memorial Park under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Shelby Dean Benoit, 71, of Lake Charles died at 10:15 AM Friday, July 29, 2011 in her residence.

Mrs. Benoit was a life long resident of the Lake Charles area. She was a 1956 graduate of LaGrange Senior High School. She was a member of Sale Street Baptist Church for many years. She also worked in the nursery for the church. She was also a life member of the VFW post 2130 Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years Ernest S. Benoit of Lake Charles, LA, two sons; Timothy Benoit of Lake Charles and Perry Benoit of Sulphur, LA, two brothers; Gerald Foreman of Lake Charles, LA and John A. Foreman of Lake Charles, LA; two sisters; Billie Fults and husband Guessner, and Judy Detwiler all of Lake Charles, LA, one grandson Timothy Benoit II and fiancée Ashley Foy, two great grandchildren Zoey Benoit and Jayde Foy.

She is preceded in death by her parents Doveda and John E. Foreman, one son Terry Benoit, three sisters; Barbara Tringali and Betty Pugh, Loraine LeDoux.
