Funeral for Mrs. Sallie LEWIS, wife of J. M. LEWIS, farmer living near Lone Grove, was held this afternoon from the Bettes funeral home chapel, with Rev. G. W. HANKS, pastor of the Baptist Church at Wheeler, officiating.

Burial was made at Rose Hill cemetery. Besides her husband, Mrs. LEWIS is survived by one son, Robert, of this city; a daughter, Mrs. Grace MITCHELL of Lone Grove; and the following children, LeRoy, Allen and Preston, who live at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. H. HOLBROOK of Ardmore; two brothers, Charlie and Tommie, both of Pernell, and two sisters, Mrs. Mattie SMITH of this city and Mrs. Ella BYAR of Birmingham, Ala. All are here.

Thomas H. Holbrook- Ardmore Farmer and Landowner Passes Away at Home West of City-- T.H. Holbrook died at his home two miles west of Ardmore Tuesday Evening. He was born in Georgia but had been a resident of Ardmore for 26 years. Mr. Holbrook was a prominent business man in Georgia and farmer and landowner near Ardmore. He retired five years ago because of ill health. He was an honorary member of Masonic Lodge No. 31. Survivors include his wife, four children; Mrs. Ella Byars of Ardmore; Mrs. L.E. Smith, Ft. Wayne, AL; Charlie Holbrook, Countyline; and Tommie Holbrook, Pernell; 27 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and on great great grandchild. Services will be held at Harvey Bros. Funeral Parlor, Wednesday afternoon at 3:30. The pall bearers will be the grandsons of Mr. Holbrook: Ira Hooks, Charles Robert Holbrook, David Holbrook, James Holbrook, T.H. Holbrook and Preston Lewis.(4 Aug 1937)
