Elizabeth Ann Sandberg, born in Dallas, TX on September 24, 1949, passed away July 5, 2020 in Sunnyvale, TX. She taught high school and college math for more than 40 years. She had the best laugh and loved hosting parties for her family and friends. She loved to sew and growing up she often made her own clothes. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Ficken, her mother Dorothy Joe (Clayton) Ficken, and brother, William Curtis Ficken. She is survived by her husband, Karl Douglas Sandberg, daughters, Rebecca and Jennifer Sandberg, and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at Restland Memorial Park at 9:00 a.m., Thursday, July 9th, 2020.

A second generation Dallasite, born Dec.23, 1925, passed away May 6, 2009. She attended Fannin Elementary School and graduated from Crozier Tech High School. She was actively involved and held offices in several civic-minded organizations in Dallas. She is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years Arthur W. Ficken, a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Sandberg of Forney, a son, William Curtis Ficken of Lucas, and 4 grandchildren. Service is Monday, May 11 at 10 a.m. at Restland Memorial Chapel.
