son Jeremiah (1745-1797) - slave boy Batt and 100 acres
Wife Martha Tinsley Pate (1701-1767) - remainder of estate, slave man Tom, and slave woman Phillis.
Will was executed by Martha Tinsley Pate and Jeremiah Pate.
Will was witnessed by Samuel Shursbery, Nathaniel Shrewsbery, Elizabeth Shrewsbery.

1. Anthony Pate was born in 1740 in Virginia; died in 1815 in Smith Co (now Jackson Co), Tennessee; was buried in Stephen Pate's land, Salt Lick Creek, Jackson Co, Tennessee.
2. Matthew Pate was born about 1738; died on 1 Feb 1805.
3. Thomas Pate was born about 1743 in Virginia; died between 1803 and 1829 in Breckinridge Co, Kentucky.
4. Judith Pate was born about 1744.
5. Jeremiah Pate was born in 1745 in Hanover Co, Virginia; died before Jul 1797 in Mason's Creek, Botetourt Co, Virginia.
6. John Pate was born about 1746; died about 1767.
