Looking for name of wife of Samuel Hanson of Walter. Born abt. 1756; died 1810. Son of Judge Walter Hanson b 3/11/1711; died 1794 and wife Elizabeth Hoskins b. abt. 1721; d. 5/9/1773.
Samuel had daughter, Elizabeth b abt. 1787-88; who married Gerrard Howard on 9/16/1809. Eli Hanson
Nathan/Nathaniel Hanson born abt 1791; died Jan. 1855..in Baltimore County who may have married 1st: Susan Howard on 10/22/1810, may have married 2nd: Ellen Daniels 1818, may have married 3rd: Mrs. Rachel Burgess on 3/30/1837.

Elizabeth is mentioned in the 26 Aug 1756 will of her grand-mother Elizabeth, wife of Francis Harrison, in this part.
To grand-dau. Elizabeth Hanson, one slave, to serve her ten years and then to be discharged. Also, give all the children that sd. Hannah, the slave, shall have during the time of her service, to be equally divided amongst the children of Elizabeth Hanson.
The following deed of division makes me wonder if all of Walter's children were Elizabeth's. Unless the bequest to Elizabeth's off-spring was to those "now living" as the abstract says the bequest to the children o fSarah Fowke does.

SAMUEL HANSON, son of Col. John Hanson, represented Charles Co. in the Legislature of Maryland in the sessions of 1716 and 1728, was the Commissary of Charles Co. in 1734, and Clerk of the same in 1739.

SAMUEL HANSON was buried at Equality, an estate then owned by his son-in-law, David Stone, "the inheritor of Paynton Manor, with Court Leet an dCourt Baron," a lineal descendant and representative of Governor Will iamStone, and the great-grandfather of the Hon. Frederick Stone, of Po rtTobacco, MD.
