  1. 1.  Mrs Margaret (..) Bassett (Basson) was born about 1632; died after 1695.

    Notes:

    Shortly before his death, Abraham COMBS married Margaret, widow of Thomas BASSEN or BASSET and Edward FISHBECK (she afterward married a fourth time, to John VANRESWICK (aka RESWICK). Abraham wrote his will on 26 December 1684, naming both wife and daughter, witnessed by Clement HILL, Henry PAYNE, Thomas SWALE and Peter MILLS.

    One Margarett BASSETT was transported to Maryland by 1659 by her husband, Thomas BASSETT (SR 8199, 4:198, Gibbs). Margaret BASSETT, according to Marriages and Deaths, St. Mary's County Maryland 1634-1900, Margaret K. Fresco, 1982 Ridge, MD 20680, was the same who next married Edward FISHWICK; however, the estate records are for Thomas BASSON according to Skinner's transcription:
