Know all men by these presents that we John Corder Sr. and Joseph Anthony, Milner Bennatt & James Yancey are held and firmly bound unto Robert Parker, David Gooch and Nathan Williams, Justices of the County Court of Caswell in the just and full sum of One Thousand Pounds to be paid to the said Justices of the Peace Essuire and their Sessions in office and assigns to the which payments is well and truly to be made we bind ourselves our Heirs Executors and Admins. Jointly and Surrally and firmly by these presents Sealed with our Seals and dated the 27th day of Janu ary 1800 AD
The contition of the above obligation is such that whereas the above bounded John Corder Sr. & Joseph Anthony is constituted and appointed Guardian for Lewis Anthony---a Minor Orohan. If therefore the said John Corder & Joseph Anthony shall well and truly execute his said Guardianship by Securing and Improving Such estate or estates which shall come in to their hands or possession belonging to the said orphan, and render a true and perfect account of their said Guardianship by Oath before the Justices of our County Court within one year from the date of these presents, and deliver us pay to the possess the Said Orphan with all such estate or estates as he ought to be possessed of when he shall arrive to full age or be Sooner thereto requiered in all things complying with the act of our General Assembly in Such case made and provided, then the above Obligation Shall be void Otherwise to remain in full force and effect.

Will:
In the name of God Amen, I John Corder Jr. of the county of Smith a nd the State of Tennessee sensible of the uncertain duration of human li fe and desirous while of sound mind and memory to dispose of my worldly pr operty do hereby and herein make and constitute this my last will and test ament in manner following:
In the first place my will is that all my just debts may be paid.
Second: I give and bequeath unto my wife Gracy Corder the following property viz: a negro woman named Nancy and a negro boy named Major, one bay mare, one cow and a featherbed and furniture together with such apart of my household furniture as she may think proper to take to her us and benefit during her natural life -- and at her death, my will is that the said negroes together with the other property remaining at her death be sold and equally divided amongst all my children except Heirs of Joel Corder,(deceased) and Elizabeth Carthright my daughter.
Third: my will is that my land together with every other proper ty be sold in the most advantageous manner and divided in equal shares amongst all my children besides those above, except to the too heirs of my son Joel Corder deceased. I give and bequeath unto them five shillings a piece, also to my daughter Elizabeth Cartright I give five shillings if alive and if not alive I give five shillings apeace to each of her heirs.
Fourth: by remember I also cut of William Parks with five shillings that I have already given. To my son Lewis Corder sixty five dollars which is to be considered so much in his legacy; also to my son Bayless Corder I have given one hundred and five dollars which is to be considered that much paid in his legacy.
Fifth: And last I constitute and appoint Lewis Corder and Jarrett Powell Executors of this last will and testament.
In witness of all and singular the previous preceding premis I have hear unto set my hand and seal this 28th day of September 1814 in the year of our Lord on thousand eight hundred and fourteen.

Then the last will and testament of John Corder deceased was produced in open court and the due executor thereof proven by the oaths of Martin Cooper and Benjamin Ellis witness thereto and on motion ordered to be recorded__________and John Wiseman executor therein named appeared and qualified and gave bond and security as the law directs.
