Notes: Susannah "Hannah" Gaston, a daughter of William Audley Gaston and the former Jennett "Jean" Love, was born in the bounds of Fishing Creek in the Richburg community of Richburg in Chester County, South Carolina. Her Gaston heritage were Scotch-Irish Presbyterians who first settled in Pennsylvannia and then moved to this area in 1755. Her grandfather, John Gaston, Sr. was the Justice of the Peace and along with her father, William, were well-known Revolutionary patriots.
