He was made guardian Northumberland County records, of Jane Medcalfe, orphan child of William Medcalfe, deceased, Wm. Ruske being described as having married he sister of said Jane.

William married Ann Metcalfe on 17 May 1662 in Westmoreland Co, Virginia. Ann (daughter of William Medcalfe) was born on 17 May 1642 in Northumberland Co, Virginia; died after 1690 in Youcomoco, Cople Parish, Westmoreland Co, Virginia. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

"Ann received no land by her father's will, an indication that she was a young widow when as it appears, she married William Rust. She may have been the widow of John Landman, who died about 1660 when a very young man."
