Notes: Mary Paisley the youngest child of William and Elener McLean Paisley was born circa 1750 in Lancaster Co., Pa. Soon after her birth her mother died and her father moved his family to Guilford Co., N.C. where lots of Scots had settled. There in 1775 she married James Wilson Doak, also from Pa. James received bounty lands in Rutherford Co., Tn. (Stones River area)for his Rev. War service and his widow with most of her children moved there, early 1800 or late 1798-99. Their daughter Mary Doak married Alexander McKeen, also a Scot from N.C., and earlier from Pa.
