Sir Richard Williams, alias Cromwell (born by 1512 - 1545) was a Welsh soldier and a courtier in the court of Henry VIII. [1] He was a maternal nephew of Thomas Cromwell, 1st Earl of Essex and profited from the Dissolution of the Monasteries in which he took an active part.
