I didn't see where you wanted information on Ann Cole. I didn't see the Cole surname and I know it is a long way back,...but if you are interested...

Ann's parents were John Cole and Ann Livingstone

There is a deed in Prince Edward County naming Benedict, John and Ann.(They are selling land to a Joseph Motley)
There is also a court case where the children or grandchildren of Benedict and Ann come back to get a share of their grandfather's estate in Lunenburg Co., VA.

Anyhow, I guess I am a distant distant distant distant cousin. My name is Anita Cole-Taylor. After Ann Livingstone Cole died John remarried and I am a descendant of two of the children from that union.

My interest in the Aldersons was remote, at best. A descend of Benedict, Patrick Andrew Aldeson m Esther Elizabeth Simmons.
Esther Elizabeth's parents were both Simmons. Her mother was daughter of James Colber Simmons and Mary Elizabeth Cole (1848 Louisiana - 1884 - Williamson Co, Texas)

Mary Elizabeth Cole was dau of Stephen Davis Cole 1817 (grandson of my direct ancestors James Cole and Mary Rentfroe) and Nancy Mitchell Simmons (dau of William Cole Simmons and Rhoda Johnson; Rhoda being daughter of my direct ancestors Moses Johnson and Nancy Anna Robert) I descend from Moses & Anna thru two daughters, Susannah and Anne.

I found the John Cole you mentioned (m Ann Silverstone) B 1719 Middlesex VA; died 1808 Lunenburg VA

My James Cole (who married Mary Rentfroe) was an immigrant and died in 1775 in Lunenburg. The only children I have logged for him are James B Delaware (my line) and Lucy and Stephen (B Chester Co PA)

I track remote lines because many times they lead to a new discovery of a kinship down the line. I suppose with the family connections, it's possible your John Cole could son of James & Mary Rentfroe; however, it would mean his Virginia birth might have to be adjusted. ?? just a thought.
