    IN THE NAME OF GOD amen I David Jones of the County of Halifax doth make and ordain this my last will and Testament in the first of my Estate is my desire that all of my just debts should be paid and then the balance of my Estate if any be disposed of as follows;
    Imprimis I leave unto Anne my beloved wife during her life my land and plantation.
    Imprimis, I leave unto my Beloved daughter Kezia five Shillings Sterling to her and her heirs forever,
    I also leave unto my beloved son Job five shillings to him and his heirs forever,
    I also leave unto my Beloved daughter Judith five shillings to her and her heirs forever,
    I also leave unto my Beloved Son David five shillings to him and his heirs forever,
    I also leave unto my son Thomas Jones one rifle gun to him and his heirs forever and to his daughters Mary 'Sandy' Jones my beloved grand daughter ten acres of land to and her heirs forever,
    I also leave unto my Beloved son Nathan five shillings to him and his heirs forever,
    I also leave unto my beloved daughter Ruth five shillings to her and her heirs forever
    I also leave unto my beloved daughter [Mary] five shillings to her and her heirs forever.
    I also leave unto my beloved son Elijah five shillings to him and his heirs forever.
    I also leave unto my beloved son Enoch five shillings to him and his heirs forever.

    I also leave unto my beloved daughter Susanna all of my land and plantation and ... these unto belonging after the death of my wife to her and her heirs forever.
    Item I constitute make and ordain this my last will and Testament and I do willingly revoke and disannul all other wills heretofore by me made as Witnesseth wherefore I hereunto set my hand and seal this second day of November one thousand eight hundred and nine and I do hereby appoint Amy Jones, William Moore, Nathaniel Jones to Execute this my last will and Testament Witness and Seal in the presence of we;

    At a Court held for Halifax County the 25th day of July 1814, The Within written last will and Testament of David Jones dec'd was Exhibited in court and proven by the oath of witnesses thereto subscribed and ordered to be recorded and on the motion of Anne Jones .... the executrix therein named who made oath thinks according to law certificate is granted her for obtaining probate thereof in due form She giving Security whereupon she together with Edward Henderson, William Trimmiew? and Jerimiah Trimmiew her securities entered into and acknowledged their bond in the penalty of five thousand dollars according to law.. Liberty being reserved to the ... Executors therein named to join in the probate thereof when they shall be thankful.

    IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN I John Jones of the Parish of Antrim in the County of Halifax, being weak of body but of sound and perfect mind and memory (Blessed be God for the same) do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following ( that is to say)
    First I give and devise to my oldest son David Jones one shilling sterling, also I give and devise and bequeath unto youngest son Job Jones one shilling sterling.
    Also I give and devise unto my daughter Susanna Jones one shilling sterling. Also I give and devise and bequeath unto my daughter Margaret Jones one cow and calf at the day of her marriage,

    Also I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Jane Jones all my goods and chattels of every kind and degree whatsoever I have during her widowhood and in case she should marrie. I give and devise all the whole to my daughter Margaret Jones my goods and chattels and if my wife Jane Jones should not marrie she is to dispose of the whole at her death to whom she shall please to leave it to them their heirs and assigns forever.

    I appoint my wife Jane and William Douglass joint executrix and executor of this my last Will and Testament desiring my brother-in-law William Douglass to take upon him the charge and trouble thereof and to see the same performed according to my true intent and meaning and lastly I do hereby revoke all forms and other Will or Wills by me made and declare this only to be my last Will and Testament IN WITNESS whereof I the said John Jones have hereunto set my hand and seal this Fifth day of October in the year of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred and seventy two...

    At a Cout held for Halifax County the 18th day of November 1773.
    This Will was Exhibited in Court by the Executors herein named who made oath hereto, and being proved by the oathes of two of the Witnesses hereto was ordered to be Recorded and on the motion of these said Executors certificate was granted them for obtaining probate hereof in due form giving security whereupon Alexander Douglass and Peter Holt became their security and them entered into and acknowledged bond according to law.
