John Wood Sr's orphans drew a lot in 1832 Georgia Land Lotter in Hall County. Several of Nancy's older sons also drew lots.

County court minutes of 11 Sep 1798, "Mrs. Story Wood widow of John Wood deceased came into Court and relinquished her right of administration on said estate whereupon ordered that Robert Wood and John Wood have the full administration on said estate upon signing a bond for that purpose and qualifying accordingly which they did in open court."
