    Notes:

Nichlos Arnold's parents are not known. He was born in England and died 1622 at Ilchester, England. He was married twice. The Arnold family of Rhode Island descend from his first wife Alice Gully, the daughter of John Gully. The son, Robert Arnold died the day he was born. This line of Arnold do not descend from the Welsh kings. The person who gave this false information did not research this line. Leniece Arnold Watson, a direct descendent, went to England in 1987 and found that there was no record of Nichlos Arnold before he married Alice Gully

note: Arnold reseachers all agree in the refute that the Rhode Island Arnolds descended from royalty.

    ---------
Arnold's parents lived in the small village of Northover, located across the River Yeo (also known as the River Ivel) from the town of Ilchester.[5] Nicholas was a tailor, and the mention of his occupation in his will and the vital records of some of his family members suggests that he was prominent in his work, and likely a member of the Tailor's Guild, which carried professional and political clout in its day.[6] As he advanced in his profession, and after the baptism of his oldest daughter Thomasine in 1572,[c] Nicholas moved with his small family from Northover across the river to the much larger town of Ilchester where he became well established in his trade, and where the remainder of his children were born.

Nicholas married Alice Gully about 1569 in Lemington, England. Alice was born on 26 Sep 1553 in Northover, Somerset, England; was christened on 29 Sep 1553 in Northover, Somerset, England; died on 26 Apr 1596 in Somerset, England. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
