Research Notes:
Several trees seem to copy from one another and show this Ellie Jones who married James Monroe Burns, to be Ella Lucretia Jones; however, from census and children's death records, she is only shown as Ellie Jones. She married James Monroe Burns, whose mother was Sarah Jane Jones, 1843, daughter of Clisby Riggs Jones and Malinda Vanwinkle. She was 2nd wife of his father Cicero Burns.
Cicero's 1st wife was Mary Elizabeth Jones b 1831, sister to Sarah Jane. So, Ellie is very likely a member of this Clisby Riggs Jones family.

These trees are showing her as daughter of James Green Jones and Lucretia Walker. I have found no such record. In fact, tracking James Green, he m1` Martha Ann Parker; had a daughter Anna in 1887, same age as Ellie; and m2 Sarah Ann Walker. So there was no marriage of a Lucretia Walker.

There was also a marriage shown James Green with Sophie Leber on 1 Jun 1872 and a daughter Mathilda 1879; which also conflicts with his substantiated marriage with Martha Ann. So, that is also a misplaced marriage to him.

James Green was son of Britton Jones; and though some of this family line wound up in Angelina Co, I do not believe they are part of the Clisby Riggs Jones family. The family outline is this.

Clisby volunteered for service in CSA and served with Greens Brigade COD 7th Texas Cavalry. He had six sons and one or more son in laws to serve in the Civil War. Two sons came back from service.

Tib lived at Jones Prairie in Polk County Texas in 1846, then moved back to Magnolia Arkansas area for several years before settleing in Angelina Co Texas in 1857.
