    Mrs Oliver (Ella) LeClaire, 76, of 316 Pine St, Pine Ridge Apartments, died Tuesday morning in St. Luke's Hospital where she had been admitted several hours earlier. She had been in ill health for a week. Born August 22, 1896 in Marquette. Mrs. LeClaire was a lifelong resident of Marquette. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church. Her husband Oliver died in 1952. Surviving are her three sons, William Daugherty of Lake Orion; Roger Daugherty of Wisconsin and Roland Daugherty of Marquette; two sisters, Mrs. Charles McNerney, Marquette, and Mrs. James Theros of Salt Lake City, Utah; 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Services will be held at 1:30 pm Friday in the Calvary Lutheran Church with Rev. James Sandeen, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Swanson Funeral Home from 4 to 9 pm Thursday.

    Carl August Gentz, 79, a resident of Cherry Creek for 51 years, died in St. Luke's Hospital late Monday night after being confined there for three days. He had been in poor health for seven years with a heart ailment. Born in Pommerin, Germany, August 27, 1862, Mr. Gentz had been engaged in farming in the Cherry Creek district until ill health caused him to retire several years ago. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Albertina Gentz; five daughters, Mrs. Louis Tapkin of Munising; Mrs. Oliver LeClaire of Cherry Creek; Mrs. Louis Contois Sands; Mrs. Charles McNerney of this city and Mrs. James Theros of Salt Lake City, Utah; a brother, Albert Gentz of Cherry Creek; two sisters, Mrs. Herman Zintman of Cherry Creek and Mrs. William Ziesemer of Lockport, IL; 22 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, eight nieces and nine nephews. Funeral services will be held in the Swanson Funeral Home Thursday at 3 p.m. today. Services will be officiated by Rev. W. Roepke, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Park Cemetery and the escorts will be W.S. Ewing, Dan Johnston, C.H. King, Louis Sauheitl, George Beaudin and Al Menhennit.

    One brother and two sisters died in Germany. They were Friedrich Wilhelm Genz born October 23, 1851; Wilhelmine Albertine Charlotte Genz born May 14, 1854 and Caroline Auguste Friederike Genz born March 1, 1857.
