FERDINANDO Thayer:
He spelt & signed with two small ff 's ffardinando ?? :) why no one
knows,,
However in the early " Mendon Annals" his name is first spelt, FARDINANDO.
But Ferdinando is the name used.
He was not Spanish as many thought, because of his first name,
They say probably he was named after Ferdinando Gorges.
However . the connection between Thayers and Gorges is not known.
Ferdinando* married Huldah* Hayward on 14 Jan 1652 in Braintree, Norfolk Co, Massachusetts.
