Sherry, That is my Sarah "Sally" Renfro also....looks like we may be related on both sides of the family. I haven't really done any research on Sarah "Sally" Lucinda yet...but I am sending you what I have on her husband, Henry. Is this what you have for Henry and Sarah also???

    Henry Figin Winters
    My 2nd great grandfather
Birth 1791 in Rowan, North Carolina, United States
Death 22 Dec 1845 in Tippah, Mississippi, United States
Henry went by the last name of Figgin Winters, variation of Feigenwinter from his father. But one story has his widow Sara applying for a pension for his War of 1812 service, and having to apply with the last name of Winters and Figgin as a middle name. From that point on Winters is listed as the family last name. KFergus 2/2/11

Regarding son of Henry and Sally, from Biographical and Historical Memoirs of Eastern Arkansas:

    H. C. Winters is widely remembered as an old settler of Bedford Township. A native of Alabama, he is the eldest son of Henry and Sarah (Rinfrow) Winters, who came originally from North Carolina and Tennessee, respectively. Henry Winters went to Alabama in 1828 and settled in Morgan County, where he remained five years, going thence to Tippah County, Miss. He was twice married, and by his first wife had two boys, one of whom is living: Aaron, a resident of Pope County, Ark. Mr. Winters was married to the mother of our subject in 1828. They were the parents of six children, all of whom are still living: H. C., J. J. Thomas, William C., Mary E. (now Mrs. Harbinger) and Sarah J. (Mrs. Vandover "Vandiver"), all living in Texas excepting the first named. Mr. Winters was a soldier in the War of 1812, and died in 1852. Mrs. Winters was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, and died in 1880. (submitted by KWFergus)

    Sherry (?) -

I just found your website and wanted to add what I have discovered about Christopher Fagenwinters. My research suggests his given name was Christoph Feigenwinter and that he was a Swiss soldier drafted into the German army and rented out to the British to fight in the American Revolution. He deserted in South Carolina and found his way to the German/Swiss community in Salisbury, NC. He had a second son born in 1792 also named Christopher, who fought in the War of 1812 under the name Christopher F. Winters, then at some point changed the spelling to Winder before migrating to the Republic of Texas in 1840. CF Winder was my third great grandfather. This has all been confirmed through several documents, including pages from a German language genealogy book sent to me by a distant Feigenwinter cousin in Switzerland, which shows Christoph Feigenwinter, born 1752, ?disappeared as a soldier?.

I have a very detailed tree on ancestry.com under the username Brian Hendrix, if you?re interested.
