GEORGE HEALE'S WILL----DEC 30,1697.

I bequeath to my son George 1300 acres on which I live, described as being on the S.E. side of the main road from Mrs. Ball's Mill, to a Mill which was formerly Josias Draper's, & between that road & Thomas Davis's. The remaining part of that land, on the N.W. side of the road & along the White Marsh to Timothy Stamps, containing 500 acres, I give to my son John. My lands in the head of the Corrotoman, adjoining the lands of Guiles Robinson & Randolph Miller & land formerly belonging to Nathanial Brown, which includes 400 acres, U give to my son Joseph. I give my daughter Ellen, the 100 acres at Cherry Point, adjoining Mr. Keen & Mr. Crawley. The property at Corrotoman, 350 acres adjoining William Clark, Mathew White, Mr. Armes, Mr. Harrison, & the main road, I give to mt daughters, Elizabet, & Sarah. The quarter plantation in the forest at the head of the Corrotoman, except that part already bequeated to Joseph, I give to my son George for the use of my son Nicholas.

Money is also left for a brick wall to be erected around the Heale family burial plot on the plantation at the head of the Corrotoman River, & a suitable stone is to be brought from England. The burial vaults were quite massive; a single large granite slab resting on carved foundations--according to one observer. (From Lancaster Co. Va. Order Book I).

I Alice Stretchley of the parish of St Mayries, White Chapell in the County of Lancr being sick & weak of body & sound and perfect in mind & memory praise be threrfore given to Almighty God doe make and ordain this my present last will & testamt in manner and form following that is to say first and princably I comend my Sole into the hands of Almighty God hoping through the Merrits death and passion of My Sav Jesus Christ to have full and free pardon and forgovness of all my sins and to inherit everlasting life and my body I committ to the earth to be decently buried at the descretion of my Exr hereafter named and as touching the disposall of my temporall estate as it hath pleased God to bestow upon me I give and dispose as followeth.
