Appointed guardian of his father on 27 Feb 1728/9 and on 25 Feb 1729/30 John's widow Abigail applied for her dower right, since John had died intestate. The estate of John Jones of Barnstable was settled on 3 Feb 1730/1 and names the widow, only son John and duas. Abigail Smith, wife of Daniel Smith, and Mercy who died afte her father. Ralph and Deborah of Barnstable sold to Samuel Barrows of Middleboro their 1/5 part of lands of Francis Coombs of Middleboro (Deborah's father) now deceased; signed 26 Jan 1709/10 by marks of Ralph and Deborah and acknowledged same day; red 4 Jun 1717. A division of the estat of Francis Coombs dated 15 May 1711 mentins Mary Wood, late widow, relict of sd deceased; Ralph Jones and Deborah; Frances Coombs; Samuel Barrows and wife Mercy; John Miller and wife Lydia; Ebenezer Bennett and wife Ruth. In a futher division of 2 Feb 1712, Frances is then married to Nathan Howland. (Mayflower Famlies)

Notes:

Ralph Jones is in the 1643 list of Plymouth men 16-60 able to bear arms. He was fined 6 Oct 1657 for not attending church.
The will of Ralph Jones of Barnstable "being aged" is dated 11 of 3rd month (May) 1691" and proved 20 Apr 1692. In it he asked to be buried at the Quaker burying place in Sandwich, and left money to the Quakers. He mentioned his wife (unna, his father Fuller, sons Shubael, Jedidiah, Ralph, Samuel, Matthew, John, and Ephraim (the last not yet 21) and daughters Mercy, Mary and Hittable; son Shubael was named executor. Since the will does not name all his children in chronological order, the order is uncertain.(Mayflower Families)
