"Thomas Violett for his evil deeds was forced to leave
Berekeley Co., Va ca 1796 and went to Kentucky [Woodford Co. - Dolle] leaving his son-in-law Zedekiah South to sell his lands and holdings, which were in possession of his sons Thomas, Edward, William, amd Gustavus (Augustus), and his son-in-law John Dennis Scott. The land was situated in Berkeley Co. WV on Middle River, and was sold eventually to Gabriel Hayes."
