Mrs. Lodie Rising
Funeral services for Mrs. Lodie Rising, 84, of 2649 19th St. Port Arthur, are set for 10 a.m., Friday in St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Roland Maarschalkerweerd, chaplain at St. Mary Hospital, officiating.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday in Levingston Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Port Arthur under the direction of Levingtson.
A native of Crowley, La., and an area resident for 60 years, Mrs. Rising died at 1 p.m. Wednesday at her residence. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Marie Louise Majors and Mrs. Peggy Joyce Henderson, both of Port Arthur; three sons, Major A. Rising, Calvin A. Rising, and Ulysses V. Rising, all of Port Arthur; one sister, Mrs. Lucille Breaux of Winnie; two brothers, Alise Seymour of Vidor and Viril Seymour of Winnie; seven grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers wil be Lynn Henderson, Glen Henderson, Calvin Rising Jr., Stanley Rising, Allen Rising, Hollis Frost, Clifford Frost and Douglas Rising.
