    BIOGRAPHY: Was a private in Rev. war. He and his wife were living in Caswell Co., NC 1784-1787 census said. He enlisted inthe 1st company of the NC line under Capt. Henry Dixon, the regiment commanded by Col. James Moore. He served 7 years according to the statement made by William Hill, Secretary of State North Carolina in 1825 when Joel recieved his Pension. His name is on the war memorial monument on the courthouse square in Henderson, Ky.
